Reiki Ryoho (healing method) is a gentle yet powerful method of energy-based healing and self-development, founded by Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist, at the beginning of the 20th century. Consistent with other vibration-based therapies, the system of Reiki holds the precept that the human body requires a continuous flow of life force energy to sustain optimal health. Reiki strives to bring body, mind and spirit into harmony supporting relaxation, stress reduction, and personal growth. In the system of Usui Reiki as well as many other practices, daily meditation is encouraged to calm the mind and relax the body. The Reiki Precepts Considered a key component in the foundation of Usui-sensei's teachings, the Reiki Precepts are offered to support our journey. With the support of this CD, recite them daily in a contemplative manner. Meditate on these principles with the goal to live by them. About the Artist, Ginny MacKles Ginny's Reiki journey began in the mid-1980's where both meditation and Reiki became a life-saving support during a challenging period of time. Through the years to come, Ginny incorporated these tools into her day to day experience providing her with a foundation for life. Her passion to share these gifts continues as she brings forth The Reiki Journey as a labor of love and expression of joy. Ginny MacKles is a Reiki Teacher and Board Certified Professional Counselor, LMHC, holding a NY state license in Mental Health Counseling with a Master of Social Work degree practicing in Westchester County, NY. Her broad background includes extensive work with intuitive counseling, energy work, regression therapy, over 25 years of meditation practice as well as 15 years of corporate Human Resources management. Along with comprehensive experience in diverse styles of meditation practices, she has taught and practiced Reiki since 1986. Ginny is a Reiki Master in Usui Shiki Ryoho (Takata style), Shihan of Komyo Reiki, Reiki Master of Gendai Reiki, Okuden practitioner of Jikiden Reiki and a a Registered Karuna Reiki® Master. Her journey with Reiki began studying with Carol Vidula Krum of the Reiki Alliance (Master Krum was initiated as a Reiki Master through Phyllis Furumoto, Grand Master of the Reiki Alliance). In an effort to continually grow with Reiki, Ginny has studied with Reiki Masters Gail Sterling, David Jarrell, William Lee Rand, Frank Arjava Petter, Ethel Lombardi (initiated through Master Takata), Frans Stiene, Tadao Yamaguchi in Japan, Hiroshi Doi and Hyakuten Inamoto. As an Adjunct Professor at Pace University, Ginny taught Holistic Counseling at the graduate level. She has presented her work internationally at Expos, conferences, on TV and radio.
